چکیده

The surfactant-polymer-based (S/P) fracturing fluid combines the advantages of surfactant-based and polymer-based fluids. In this study, synergistic tackifying cationic surfactants carboxymethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose potential application in hydraulic was investigated. Firstly, cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTAC) salicylic acid (SA) with a weight ratio 4:1 were optimized as main agent small molecule surfactant gel, which then mixed 2-hydroxyethyl ether (CMHEC) to obtain S/P gel. proppant suspension performance, gel-breaking properties, salt-resistance thermal stability evaluated confirm their fluid. These results showed that performance system much better than also polymer

Fabrication of vesicles from mixed cationic/anionic surfactants with additives

In this study, positively charged catanionic vesicles were fabricated from an ion pair amphiphile (IPA), hexadecyltrimethylammonium-dodecylsulfate (HTMA-DS), with the addition of a double-chained cationic surfactant, ditetradecyldimethylammonium bromide (DTDAB), and cholesterol by a mechanical dispersion process. The effects of the added cholesterol on physical stability of the catanionic vesic...

Role of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl starch in hematopoietic cell line cultures.

Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl starch were found to support rapid growth of two hematopoietic cell lines. The polymers were not metabolized by the cells. In the presence of these compounds, lower rates of glucose utilization and lactic acid production were observed. The uptake of glucose by the cells decreased as the concentration of the polymer in the medium was increased. The...

Interactions of β-lactoglobulin with Cationic Surfactants: Spectroscopy Study

The interactions of β-lactoglobulin AB in the presence of cationic surfactants such as Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and Cetyltrimethylammonium p-Toluenesulfonate have been investigated using a variety of experimental techniques such as conductivity, UV-Vis spectrophotometry and fluorimetry. The conductivity of surfactants aqueous solutions with β-lactoglobulin shows that the cmc of cationic s...

Electric Properties of Carboxymethyl Cellulose

Carboxymethyl cellulose [C6H7O(OH)3x(OCH2COOH)x]n is a derivative of the regenerated cellulose [C6H10O5]n with hydroxy-acetic acid (hydroxy ethanoic acid) CH2(OH)COOH or sodium monochloroacetate ClCH2COONa. The CMC backbone consist of D-glucose residues linked by -1,4-linkage. The molecular mass of one glucose unit in CMC chain is mCMC = 146.14 + 75.04x, where x  3 is the degree of substitu...

Synthesis, Characterisation and Flocculation Properties of Carboxymethyl Cellulose-g Acrylamide

Graft copolymers of acrylamide on carboxymethyl cellulose (d.s 0.4-0.5) were prepared by the use of ceric ion, ceric ion/reductant molecule initiator systems in aqueous medium. The graft copolymers were characterized by IR spectroscopy. The extent of graft copolymerisation was measured in terms of grafted chains as a function of both ceric ion and ceric ion/reductant molecule concentrations. It...
